Karuna visits Mt Kulen

Friday, March 15, 2013

King Siannouk died earlier this year and as a mark of respect the children of Karuna visited the sacred shrine of the lying Buddah in Mt Kulen to light incense. The day was also marked with a walk to the eternal spring and the collossal waterfall which they delighted in seeing. Some went further and dived into the cool pool at the foot of the falls. It was a spectacle the children had never seen before.
Afterwards they all sat down under a shady tree and ate a delightful lunch prepared by Paula to the chant of the nearby monks.
The Siem Reap high school students and the Varin primaries were so pleased to be back together again, albeit briefly for this special occasion.
